Bioderma Cicabio Crème+ SPF 50+ is a skin barrier repair moisturiser for those experiencing skin discomfort due to damaged or irritated skin. The synergistic, combination of ingredients creates a breathable, protective film over the skin as it heals and renews itself. It contains a sunscreen to protect against post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Suitable for use on the face or body.
Key ingredients include UVA and UVB filters that limit UV penetration. Antalgicine™ which helps to reduce the feeling of discomfort and irritation and the urge to scratch. Liquorice Root Extract interacts with biological mechanisms by acting on melanin synthesis. Optimal Repair Complex contains a trio of hydrating and repairing biomimetic active ingredients (Polyglutamic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid and Xylose) to improve healing and skin reconstruction. Biomimetic lipids including Squalane mimic the skin’s own sebum. Non-comedogenic. Tested under dermatological control. Fragrance-free.
Dr Webster’s Recommendation: Bioderma Cicabio Crème+ SPF 50+ this skin barrier repair moisturiser is a long-time favourite of mine especially after skin rejuvenation treatments such as chemical peels, non-invasive laser and micro-needling. This multi-functional product helps to soothe which helps regulate discomfort and relieve unpleasant sensations and itching. The risk of PIH post-treatment is always high, especially in darker skin types, so the inclusion of a very high SPF 50+ is a welcome addition.
