Avène Cleanance Comedomed Concentrate is a gel-cream moisturiser that reduces the occurrence of breakouts by targeting cellular activity below the skin’s surface, preventing new lesions from forming. Suitable for oily, blemish-prone skin.

Key ingredients include Comedoclastin™ a patent complex with Silybum Marianum Fruit Extract that helps to regulate both sebum quantity and quality, limiting the proliferation of cells that cause thickening in the sebaceous follicle. Avène Thermal Spring Water has soothing, softening, and anti-irritating properties. Glycerin is a humectant that attracts moisture to your skin. Fragrance-free.

Dr Webster’s Recommendation: Avène Cleanance Comedomed is an innovative product that actively targets the pre-development phases of acne, reducing the thickening of cells within the sebaceous follicle, ultimately leading to breakouts. It offers a non-greasy texture that is both hydrating and mattifying. With its high concentration of Comedoclastin™, it works on both existing and future blemishes to effectively reduce sebum, blackheads, and breakouts. This moisturiser can be used morning and evening, alone, or in combination with medicinal dermatological treatments. It can also be used as a maintenance product after you have completed acne treatment (Isotretinoin). Note, this product does have a medicinal-like smell which dissipates soon after application.

    As someone with acne prone skin (especially in winter) I am so relieved and super amazed by the results I have seen in only one week. Not only did the product soothe my skin almost immediately but after a week I noticed two minor new bumps and extraction could be done without having to apply so much pressure that it leaves behind scarring. The next morning there was no evidence of the new bumps and not even any redness. This, for me, was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend this product highly enough!
