Bioderma Pigmentbio C-Concentrate is a lightweight, nighttime corrective brightening serum that targets discoloration and pigmentation. Suitable for most skin types with pigmentation concerns, except intolerant, sensitive or barrier-impaired skin.
Key ingredients include 8% Glycolic acid which helps to resurface skin texture, improving skin luminosity and dullness. 2% Vitamin C in the form of Ascorbyl Glucoside is a well-tolerated antioxidant and skin brightener. It helps defend against damaging free-radicals as well as UV-induced skin damage. 2% Salicylic Acid (BHA) exfoliates, refines pores and helps to reduce the formation of acne. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) improves skin elasticity, pigmentation and enhances skin barrier function. Azelaic Acid has mildly exfoliating and potent anti-inflammatory properties, promoting a clear and even complexion. Licorice Root Extract is a safe botanical brightener that helps to inhibit the formation of pigmentation. Vitamin E and Kelp Extract are both potent antioxidants. Tested under Dermatological control. Contains a fragrance.
Dr. Webster’s Recommendation: Bioderma Pigmentbio C-Concentrate is a brightening corrective serum aimed at targeting superficial hyperpigmentation over a 1-2 month period. This product is not designed to be used on an ongoing basis, we recommend using a maximum of 4 bottles per year (ie one bottle per season, depending on skin tolerance). Even though it contains antioxidant properties, the formula is very concentrated and most skins will not tolerate ongoing daily use like other daily antioxidants. This innovative product contains Vitamin C which is known to easily oxidize if not formulated correctly. The unique lid dispenser allows Vitamin C to be added to the formula right at the time of opening. All key ingredients in this product have been well-studied to support the management and reduction of superficial dark marks: pigmentation, sunspots, and melasma. Read the product instructions carefully. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use exclusively at night. Always use a high-factor broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.
