Colorescience Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50 (Fair)

A bit of a struggle initially to get the powder going; the sheerness of the powder resulted in my over-applying – but, is there such a thing in this world when in comes to sun protection…
The water resistance is immediately palpable and I like that: one knows one’s filter is active as it creates the physical “shield”. The shade is spot on too as it’s completely imperceptible.
Only qualm: the bristles aren’t great.

I also packed this product for an Autumn holiday in Australia. I applied the Colorescience SPF30 cream in the mornings before applying my tinted moisturizer. When I had to go outside again later in the day I used the powder over my makeup. And I even reapplied the powder a second time during the day if I spent time again outdoors. I never suffered from sunburn and loved the combination of Colorescience products to protect my fair skin against more sun exposure than I am used too. I will definitely re purchase in future and can highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product ahead of a holiday to Australia. I wanted a product that would protect my skin against the harsh Australian sun as well as being portable and convenient for touch ups while on the go during the day. This powder applicator met all those expectations and as a bonus helped to keep my skin from looking shiny in the humid climate. I purchased the fair shade, it is a good neutral tone that is not too light and doesn’t impart a lot of colour so would be suitable for most people in the light-medium tan skin tone range. I don’t normally use face powder and the price initially made me hesitant to purchase, however I am very glad I did get it and will definitely be repurchasing. Highly recommended!
