Dermaceutic Activ Retinol Serum 0.5%

I’m impressed with this retinol serum. I’m in my late 30s and have tried other retinol serums, but this has been the best one I’ve used. I use it twice a week, and my hyperpigmentation is visibly reduced. I have sensitive skin and have had no negative reactions or breakouts from this. I’ll be repurchasing.

Absolutely love it! I would recommend introducing it slowly. I was using Optiphi retinol before this so my skin was used to retinol. However when I used this everyday I got red patches and flaking. So if you are a first time user or switching brands, introduce slowly. I’m on my second tube already and will continue to repurchase.

I’m in my early 40’s and this is my first retinol. No irritation or sensitivity whatsoever. I gradually adjusted from every 3 nights, to 2 nights and last few weeks to every night. It has really made a visible difference to my skin.

This cream is so gentle and caused no bad reaction, in fact my skin looks smoother and brighter the next morning.

A total game-changer. There was a definite improvement in my skin from the first use. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This is my first retinol. I have tried to wait a full month before reviewing, as I wanted to monitor effects. I use every second night.
I am very impressed.
No dryness or irritation or flaking. There is a scent, but nothing concerning. The formulation applies very easily and absorbs well.

My skin is much smoother and brighter! Definitely less fine lines over forehead. I experienced some mild purging on my chin at about the 3rd week of use. Expected and much less than I used to suffer.

I think in time I might go up in concentration, but I am very happy with the results

This is my first retinol and I didn’t have ANY reaction to it – negative or positive. I can’t see that it made any difference to the quality of my skin..but was a nice gentle introduction to retinol. I’m going to try 1.5 or 2% next.

I didn’t think my sensitive acne-prone skin would be able to tolerate retinol. Dermaceutic Activ Retinol 0.5 changed that. I only use this every second evening before applying my moisturiser. It doesn’t irritate my skin, and I have fewer breakouts. If I could pick only one skincare product, this would be it. 🙂

This is the first retinol product I have used and I really like it. I’ve had zero issues with irritation (no redness or skin flaking), and it definitely seems to have a visible impact on fine lines when used consistently.
