How to Use

It is important to prepare the skin adequately by using a retinoid 4- 6 weeks before starting the cosmelan® 2 treatment to help minimise the side effects
Begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing application frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. For optimal results, cosmelan® 2 should be used twice a day
At night, apply cosmelan® 2 on clean, dry skin, massaging it gently
Allow the cream to absorb completely
Followed by a suitable barrier cream
Always use a high-factor broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply throughout the day
Sun protection is vital as the skin will be more sensitive to sun exposure while using the product. For hyperpigmentation use a mineral based formula that contains iron oxides (blocks HEVL).
Additional advice
- Avoid using a foaming cleanser, rather use a gentle/cream cleanser to protect the skin barrier.
