Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl Peroxide is a gold-standard topical ingredient in treating acne. It is effective against inflammatory-type acne, however not so much against blackheads or whiteheads, but against acne that is caused by the bacteria called Cutibacterium acnes (C.Acnes). Apart from being antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, it is also keratolytic and wound-healing.
