Keratosis Pilaris are small red or white bumps that usually appear on the arms, thighs or butt. It is noted as looking similar to chicken-like skin. It is caused by the build-up of keratin in the hair follicles. As a best practice for treating Keratosis Pilaris, we recommend washing with a mild, fragrance-free glycerine-based soap. In addition, use a cream or lotion containing 10 or 20 percent Urea. Skincare products containing ingredients such as Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Glycolic Acid can also be beneficial treatment options.
