How to Use

It is important to prepare the skin adequately by using a retinoid 4- 6 weeks before starting the cosmelan® 2 treatment to help minimise the side effects.
Begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing application frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. For optimal results, cosmelan® 2 should be used twice a day.
At night, apply cosmelan® 2 on clean, dry skin, massaging it gently. Allow the cream to absorb completely.

Apply on top of cosmelan 2 and can be applied as many times as necessary.
Avoid skin treatments such as chemical peels and waxing if your skin is sensitive or peeling. Wait at least 7 days after applying your cream before you do a skin treatment.
Avoid using other products that contain retinoids and hydroxy acids if your skin is sensitive.

Apply sufficient quantity (2mg/cm2 of skin) half an hour before exposure, on clean and dry skin. Reducing the amount of cream applied reduces the level of sun protection significantly. Reapply every 2 hours in case of direct sun exposure, after towel drying, bathing or sweating. Reapplication is essential to maintain the level of protection and effectiveness of the treatment. Avoid direct contact with eyes and mucous membranes , if necessary, rinse with plenty of water.
