SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3 is a multi-corrective moisturiser that targets visible concerns associated with the early signs of skin ageing including dullness, discolouration, dryness, fine lines, and loss of natural elasticity. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Key ingredients include 5% Niacinamide (with a patent-pending delivery system) that stimulates epidermal cell turnover, whilst reducing localized discolouration and strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier. A 2.5% Tightening Tri-Peptide Concentrate supports natural hyaluronic acid synthesis and enhances skin’s firmness while 15% Pure Glycerin acts as a powerful humectant and the unique water-break formulation delivers intense hydration. No added fragrance but contains plant-based oils that do impart a scent. Dermatologically tested. Safe for use during pregnancy.

Dr Webster’s Recommendation: SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3 has a unique formulation that has been clinically proven to increase cellular turnover, boost hydration and skin volume, as well as clarify skin tone. It increases the penetration of key active ingredients without compromising the skin barrier and leaves a satin finish on the skin. Another advantage is that this product can be used by sensitive skin types, including rosacea patients as a versatile and safe daily anti-ageing corrective moisturiser. The texture is more of an emulsion than a cream, is lightweight and absorbs very quickly, making it an ideal choice for combination or even oily skin. It is still hydrating as a moisturiser, but if you have very dry, mature skin you may want something with a richer consistency, A.G.E. Interrupter or Triple Lipid Restore would both be good options.

    I waited a good two months to write this review since the product is quite expensive and I wanted my review to be accurate.

    I use the Metacell Renewal in the mornings only. I have combination skin and I was dealing with uneven skin texture, which has definitely improved as a result of this product. It as also improved my dehydration and pigmentation.

    The formula is hydrating enough for my daytime skincare in summer. At night I prefer something a bit more rich and I’m not sure if it will be hydrating enough during the winter months.

    Overall I think the product delivers on it’s promises and if you can afford it I’d recommend it. I deducted a star because of the price only. I also want to compliment Dermastore on their efficiency and the awesome skin specific samples included in my order!

    I am convinced that the is the best cream post-treatment / post retinol. The ingredients help with cell turnover and I have far less peeling after using retinol at night and this in the day. I have oily skin and this does provide good moisture, but I don’t think dry skin would benefit from the moisture factor.

    I received this as a sample and haven’t yet purchased it…but I have to say…it really is an amazing product!

    Light textured and the glycerin in the product makes it spread very easily across your face…and also your face sucks the ingredients right up! It really does make your skin feel great!

    Will most definitely be purchasing it sometime soon…yes it’s expensive…but it’s worth every penny!
